My Classroom Management Plan

The first day of school can be pretty overwhelming for both student and teachers.  List of rules to follow; "the mustn't's, the shouldn't's, and the don't's"; the syllabii -- what's a young student to do?  I hope that I've created a new and interesting way to introduce, not the rules, but the procedures of my classroom to future students.  To introduce myself to the parents, I've created a three-fold brochure that I would like to mail to the students homes.

I believe the most knowledgeable teacher is nothing without a plan for instruction.  If students are out of control, not listening, or just plain disrepectful, no lesson can be learned.  With that in mind, my Classroom Management Plan (CMP) follows.

"Every teacher has an obligation to those students to engage, to instruct and to enhance the learning experience." (from CMP)

Here is the PowerPoint presentation that I've developed to deliver the message about the importance of classroom procedures to students.

Here is the brochure I'd use to introduce myself to parents.

Current School Information is based on the school where I did my student teaching and would be edited accordingly.
